Costurando para Lilla / Sewing for Lilla

Eu comprei uns bodies lisos e baratinho no Saara, pouco antes de viajar. A malha é boa e eles só tinham um pqno logo feioso na frente... Pensei: "serão perfeitos para customizar!"
e aí comprei alguns (tá, eu comprei vários. hm... er... Quem eu to enganando?? eu comprei um monte! =S) de várias cores e tamanhos diferentes. ^^

Em alguns eu fiz assim: aproveitei uns desenhos que eu já tinha, e tb fiz mais alguns extra... imprimi naqueles papéis de transfer e apliquei num tecido de algodão branquinho. Depois cortei e costurei nos bodies!
Foi prático e divertido... e ficou bem diferente!

I've bought some cheap plain onesies on a popular market downtown, a few days before our trip.
They are soft to touch and only had a small, ugly logo on the front... "Hm, these will be nice to play with!" I thought.
So than I bought a few (well, er, I've bought a lot, to be true =S) on diferent sizes and colors. ^^

I want do do dfferent stuff with them. One of the ideas I had was to print some of my drawings, iron them to a white cotton cloth, than cut and sew to the onesies.
It was easy and fun to do!
This is how they turned out:

Ainda tenho alguns desenhos impressos esperando aplicação.

Depois, mais uma idéia: bordar alguma coisinha em cima do logo feioso e costura sainhas fofas e bem menininhas nos bodies! (para as sainhas eu usei parte do tecido que a querida Nathalie me deu de presente!)

I still have some prints to sew to some more onesies.

Than, an other idea: embroider something on the top of the ugly front logo and sew pretty girly skirts to the onesies! (I used for the skirts some of the lovelly fabrics Nathalie gave me as a gift!)

Aí eu tb costurei nele a sainha, porque ela gostou e pediu pra botar. =)

Estes de baixo eu não mexi nos bodies, apenas fiz pra combinar a sainha e as ceroulinhas.

This last one was a gift form Lilla's grandma!
It says: "I've had enough! I'm off to nana's home!" ^^
She asked me to put a skirt on this one too, because she liked it. =)

These next ones I've only sewn the skirt and the bloomers, to go along with the long sleeved onesies (if they are long sleeved, are they still called onesies?? Because in portuguese, it is still the same word).

E, por último, vestidinhos! ^^
Estes eu costurei mesmo, ainda to pensando em talvez bordar ou aplicar algo neles.. não em todos, mas em alguns. O que vcs acham?

Eu sou apaixonada por vestidos, acho que a Lilla terá muitos. heheeh!

Voltamos de NY!! Felizes e exaustos... Foi uma viagem INCRÍVEL!
NY faz a gente sentir como se estivesse dentro de um filme... Pq pra onde se olha, você lembra dos inúmeros filmes e seriados que já viu com aqueles 'cenários'!!

Happy and completely exhausted... But, oh, it was AMAZING!
NY makes us feel like we are inside a movie... Wherever you look, you get the feeling that you've seen that place before, in a movie or in a sitcom... It's so funny!Claro, uma das melhores partes foi: VER A MAMÃE!!!

Of course, one of the best parts was: SEEING MOMMY!
Oh, I've missed her so so much...
Nós andávamos o dia todo. Nem sei como a Lilla aguentou tanta andança.
Todo dia chegávamos ao hotel super cansados. Mas aproveitamos o máximo!
E eu ri demais, pq minha mãe e o Rodrigo cada hora inventavam uma palhaçada nova e diferente!

We would walk all day long. I don't even know how our Lilla handled all that belly-shaking so well! =)
At the end of each day we would get to the hotel super tired. But we enjoyed all that we could!
I laughed and laughed a LOT, because my mommy and Rodrigo would always make up some new joke. Oh, these two! ^^

E ainda tivemos a sorte de pegar uma temperatura agradável todos os dias!

And we even had the good luck of pleasant weather!Mesmo com a mamãe junto, a viagem foi nossa "bebê-de-mel" ^^
Afinal, é nossa última viagem sem a Lilla aqui, do lado de fora, nos fazendo companhia.
Nas próximas teremos uma menininha falante e serelepe (pq eu acho que ela vai falar pelos cotovelos!) ao nosso lado. Não vejo a hora!!

Even having mommy with us, it was our "baby-moon".
After all, this was our last trip without Lilla in our arms, keeping us company and talking with us (because I 've got the feeling that she is going to be a REALLY talkative little girl!).

Nós aproveitamos a viajem pra trazer praticamente TUDO do enxoval da Lilla.
Quem mora aqui no Brasil deve saber: é de assustar a diferença de preço! Nos EUA é td MTO mais barato!
Trouxemos carrinha, cadeirinha, brinquedos e muuuuuitas roupas. Mas esse assunto fica prum próximo post, com fotos, pq agora aqui em casa tá uma zona completa até que o armário da Lilla chegue e eu possa arumar tudo.

E tb preciso contar a vocês mais sobre as outras coisas, além da viagem...
Maio foi um mês super-hiper-cheio!!
Mas está tudo entrando nos eixos já...

We also bought all Lilla needed.
You guys who doesn't live here probably don't know, but it's almost a joke how everything is SO SO cheaper there is the USA... (for example, the breast pump cost me about 30,00 dollars at babies'r'us. The SAME breastpump costs 130,00 dollars here in Brasil! And this happens with EVERYTHING, from strollers to baby's clothes....)
But I'll tell you more about what we bought in another post, 'cause I cannot take pictures yet, the house is a mess until they deliver the armoire we bought so I can start putting everything together in her room.

I also have to tell you more about everything, besides the trip. May was a handfull month!
But now, thak God, everything is getting back on track... =D

Well, that's the big good news I wanted to share. The big trip. I'm so excited!
These last few days I didn't have much dead lines to accomplish, so I enjoyed my free time searching for Lilla's bedroom furniture. We bought the crib, now I'm looking for a wardrobe (we don't have a room for closet here in Brazil).
Oh, and I've been sewing, of course! I'll take pictures to show you Lilla's new cute girly clothes! =)

É meninaaa!! / It's a Girl!!!

Eu ainda não tenho fotos pra postar... O laudo do ultrassom só sai semana que vem.
Mas o mais importante é que um bebê mto serelepe e saudável foi visto ontem!! E é uma menininhaaaaaa!! Uma linda, fofa, doce e mto amada menininha!! É a Lilla!!!!

Bem, deixa eu contar sobre as últimas andanças pelo mundo divertido das agulhas de costura...
Eu havia prometido fazer uma corujinha pra uma amiga, a Nathalie.
E ela mto gentilmente disse que ia montar pra mim um kit de iniciantes em bordado! (eu tava doooooida pra aprender a bordar!! E me apaixonei pelos bordados da Nathalie!)
Eu fiquei mto feliz de fazer a corujinha, desenhei um milhão delas antes de partir para o molde dessa, q escolhi. O que vcs acham?

Well, let me tell you about the latest crafts...
I've promised my good friend Nathalie that I would make her an owl. And she, so kind as she is, told me she would send me an embroidery kit for begginers. (I SO wanted to learn how to embroider, but didn't know where to start from. When I saw Nathalie's embroiders I fell in love with them... they're so cute!)
I was so happy to make this little owl for her. I had lots of fun and sketched a gazillion little owls before I chose this one to turn into a pattern. What do you think of her?

I was amazed when I got this happy delivery on my mail box:
A really BIG embroidery kit! Oh, I went NUTS! Ive read the whole book instantly in one day...
And started to play with my kit the very next day.... I'm addicted now.
Did you know this embroidery thing is hard to stop???

Oh, and this has nothing embroidered, but I like the result anyway. It's a baby's dress and shoes I made for a friend of mine who just had a baby girl. hihihihihi! Now I can sew little dresses for Lilla too!!!! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I still have one more good thing to tell you, but I'll leave it for the next post...

Bem, eu perdi meu tempo. Sério. Eu to procurando por ele, não sei onde este doidinho pode ter se enfiado! Meu tempo simplesmente desapareceu, me deixando com dias de 10 horas ao invés das 24 horas que eu devia ganhar todo dia quando acordo pela manhã! Por favor, se você vir o meu tempo saltitando livre e serelepe por aí, diga a ele que sinto mto a sua falta! Preciso que ele volte! Se mesmo assim ele se recusar a voltar, por favor faça uma armadilha, prenda o danado bagunceiro e fujão numa caixa e envie-o pelo correio de volta pra mim o mais rápido possível!!

MUITAS coisas aconteceram nos ultimos dias: Ganhei um delicioso presente de uma amiga querida, eu e meu marido decidimos fazer uma GRANDE viagem em maio e o nosso bebê tem se recusado e nos deixar saber se ganharemos uma menininha ou um menininho...
E eu vou contar tudinho a vocês nos próximos dias desta semana. (to esperançosa de que meu tempo querido leia esta mensagem, sinta pena desta sua pobre amiguinha e volte pra casa!!!)

Well, I've lost my time. Really. I'm still searching it, don't know where it may have gone! My time just desapeared, living me with 10 hours days insted of the regular 24 hours I should get when I wake up every morning!! Please, if you find my time running away out and about somewhere tell it I miss it so much! I need it back! If it refuses to come back to me, just trap it into a box and mail this naughty fellow to my home ASAP!

LOTS of stuff happened in this last crazy days: I've got a wonderfull crafty gift from a friend, me and my husband decided to make a BIG tripp on may and the baby is refusing to let us know if we'll have a boy or a girl...
I'll tell you all about everything in this next week. (I'm hoping my time will read this and feel sorry for me and come back home!!!)

Eu vi a foto da fofíssima True no blog Cakies que eu amo da mamãe dela, RubyEllen. A foto é da também fofíssima marca de roupas de menina Misha Lulu, que faz eu desejar que o meu bebê seja menina para poder usá-la! =)
Eu tentei resistir mas não deu. Minha mão coçou e eu tive que largar o trabalho só um pouquinho pra fazer um pequeno rascunho...

I saw the picture of the cutie-pie True on her mom's blog, Cakies. The picture belongs to Misha Lulu, a cutie-pie brand of clothes for little girls (witch makes me wish my baby is a girl so she can wear it!)
I tryed to resist but I couldn't... My hand begged me for a drawing, so I've puted the work in hold for a second and sketched.
I hope True's mom like it! ^^

Rosa Juvenil / Young Rose

Muito calor, muito trabalho e muito repouso!
E muita saudade de ficar visitando a bloglândia todo dia... =)

Tenho descançado o máximo que posso, como o médico mandou.
E não consigo para de pensar que faltam só 4 semaninhas pra podermos descobrir se o nosso bebê é menino ou menina!!

Enquanto isso, com esta história de repouso, só tenho a agradecer a Deus de todo meu coração por ter me dado um marido tão lindo e amado que tem cuidado tão tão bem de mim e do bebê! Se é que é possível, acho que o amo ainda mais!

Bom, tenho que tentar trabalhar um pouco hoje ainda... Nestes desenhos que estou deixando pedacinhos pra vocês verem. São pra um livro escolar infantil, e ilustram aquela cantiga da "Linda Rosa Juvenil", sabem? Espero que vocês gostem! ^^

Lots of summer-hot, lots of work and lots of rest!
And I miss being able to visit blogland everyday… =)

I’m trying to rest as much as I can, as the doctor told me to.
And I can’t stop thinking that we only have to wait only 4 more weeks to find out if we are having a boy or a girl!! ^^

Meanwhile, with all this resting thing, I want to thank God with all my heart, for He gave me the most handsome, caring and loving husband! Hubby is taking so good care of me and the baby. If it’s possible, I think I love him even more!

Well, I still have to work today… on a series of drawings like these that I’m posting here.
They are for a children’s school book. Hope you like it!

Fiz esta bonequinha para levar de presente num chá de bebê da prima do Rodrigo.
Tentei me policiar para fazer algo simples, já que não tinha mto tempo pra terminar...
Mas até que eu achei que ficou fofa! ^^

I made this little doll as a gift. We went to Rodrigo's cousin's baby shower last week, and I wanted to give her something special. I tryed to keep it simple, as I I only had saturday morning to finish it...
But I think it turned out cute even so! ^^


Mudando de assunto... Agora em Janeiro fez 1 ano que estes bebêzinhos daí de cima nasceram aqui em casa. Quando eu adotei a Miew, mamãe deles, ela já veio recheada com estas 4 lindas surpresinhas...
Devidamente desmamados, eles foram todos encaminhados para suas famílias e hj em dia estão enormes e felizes!!
Na época, um deles roubou meu coração: o Pom-Pom

Changing the subject... in January these cuties had their first birthday! They were born here in my home. When I adopted Miew, their mommy, she came filled with these 4 little surprises...
Properly weaned, they headed off to their new families, where now they live all grown up and really happy.
When it was time for them to leave, one of them broke my heart: Pom-Pom
Não sei porquê. Nem como. Eu juro que tentei não me apegar a eles tanto assim, já que eu sabia que eles não poderiam ser meus.
Mas no dia que o Pom-Pom foi embora eu chorei como um bebezinho!!

I don't know why. Neither how. I swear I tryed my best not to get attatched too deep, as I knew they couldn't be mine.
But the day Pom-Pom left, I cryed like a little baby!!
A parte boa é que ele foi morar na casa de uma amiga muito querida, lá na serra. E está sendo criado com todo amor do mundo!! Ele não está lindo??
Seu nome agora é Albus. Ternamente chamado de Alvinho. =)
E no início do mês eu cedi ao convite de visitar minha querida amiga, e de quebra visitar o Albus-Pomps também!
Subindo a serra, lá fomos nós!!

It's a good thing he went to live with one of my dearest friends. Now he lives up hills and is raised with all the love he can get!! Isn't he handsome??
Now his name is Albus. Alvinho, for the family. =)
And on the begining of this month I answered to the invitation to visit my dear friend and, of course, visit Albus-Pomps as well!
So, up hill we went!!

Ah, eu mencionei que o Alvinho tem também algumas irmãs muito foafas? Esta é a Touya.
