Miguel & Juju

----------------------------------
These two wee babies are Miguel and Juju. They are just "born"! And they are in the store waiting for their new families. Well, actually, just Juju. Miguel was already adopted, and he is going tomorrow to his new forever family, he is going to be well loved by his little daddy, to my happiness! (Because I trully believe every little boy has the right to have a little baby of his own to nurture, and hold, and keep company)

This two wee-babies are the first ones made out of my pattern in a smaller size. The fit preemie size real baby clothes, and they are so soft to hold and hug!

Their hairs caught my heart. I finally found a local producer of yarn. They sell hand spoon and naturally died yarns, to my delight! A dream come true!
So Juju's hair is entirely made out of hand spoon naturally dyed black yarn.
And Miguel hair is a mix of lots of diferent yarns, atatched string by string to a crochet bottom sewn to the head.

------------------------
Let me say, I'm so in love with doll making! I admit to hold and hug and rock each of them, many times! Just can't resist!

------------------------------------
Making dolls is a slow process, all materials need to be treated properly before they are ready to be part of a new doll. And it's nice that each step can be taken with lots of love. In the end it's like if the doll was fuelled with all those great and tender feelings...
I talked more about the doll making process in my
facebook page, if you are curious to take a look!

Visita! - Visitors!

E eu (e a Lilla) aproveitamos pra esmagar bastante o Manuel, irmãozinho caçula do Heitor. Ele não é uma delícia?
---------------------------------
One of my favorite things in the world is to have friends over for a visit. And if the visit is a dear friend, with a cute, chubby, loved little baby? Oh, I tell you, you just can't top that kind of visit!
My friend Ju came with her beautiful baby boy so I could help her out on stuff for her big boy's birthday party. We took turns squeezing Manuel. Impossible to resist! But we also got our work done to make a beautiful super hero party for Heitor, Manuel's big brother.

E ele curtiu, viu?
----------------------------
Unfortunatelly it was too dark for perfect pictures... But I took my chance and photographed Manuel next to Elisa so we could compare sizes. Manuel loved grabbing her wool hair!

------------------------------------
If I could choose, I'd have friends over every day!!

Feliz Páscoa! - Happy Easter!

------------------------------------------------
We've celebrated Easter with lots of diferent crafts around here. I've told Lilla Easter's Story many times during this past week. But yesterday was the "official" story telling, with the big pictures I use at Sunday School (which, by the way, were drawn by my beloved grandma whom I miss so much!)
We made the Ressurection Garden I waited one year to make, as last year I came across it on Pinterest just after Easter was over...

We've placed the red buttons by the cross to represent the blood Jesus shed for us. We played with the tomb's rock, opening it to find it empty, like the women who came to look for Jesus's body. Now our beautiful garden is sitting on our living room, reminding us of the true meaning of Easter...

----------------------------------------
Than we acted some of the most important parts of the story. We've washed each others feet like Jesus did, while we talked about what being humble means. I've found the concept a little hard to explain to a toddler, but we talked about how nobody is greater than anybody, and that we should always be ready to give love and help everyone. And how Jesus, being truly Greater, being the Lord, didn't mind to be on His knees, washing his friends' feet. Jesus Christ, Son of God, made Himself small enough to be a Man and to die in our place...

Such big things to explain to a little kid... I don't know how much of it she understood, but I guess it's the kind of thing she'll learn more from examples than from what we say to her... Meanwhile we'll keep telling, and keep showing, with all our love.

---------------------------------------------
We also pretended the Last Supper. Lilla broke the bread and shared the "wine" (water with grapes in it). "This is Jesus's body, this is Jesus's blood", she remembered quite well  from the times we've celebrated in our church.

-----------------------------------------
There was also a "magic panting". I've made the drawing of the empty thomb for her to paint with watercolors. On the bottom of the page I made a figure of Jesus with white crayon. You couldn't tell by looking at the paper, but as long as the paint came and the wax repelled the water, the figure of Jesus appeared! He's alive!

Tirei a idéia daqui.
----------------------------------------------------
And last, we remeberd how Jesus was called the True Lamb of God, who died for us. And we, who died with Jesus and have His life in us, are little lambs of God too! We've made a little sheep for each one of us (the idea came from here) using pegs, cardboard and white wool.
Lilla really enjoyed the sheep, and has been playing with them all along.
Next year I plan to start earlier and talk about the jew's easter and introduce her to all the simbols that talked about Jesus as God's people were taken from Egypt...

Uma Páscoa feliz!! A Páscoa é o meu feriado preferido.

---------------------------------------------
Happy Easter to all!! This is my favorite Holiday. The most important one for us Christians. The epicenter of our salvation... That's why we chose to celebrate what Easter means. Lilla does see easter bunnies around, she knows what they are, she just doesn't care that much... We do eat chocolate if we want to. But as she doesn't whatch open TV and her school doesnt celebrate "comercial holidays", it's easy to take her down the path that is important to our family. Treasuring what is important in our hearts!

Happy Easter everyone, with all our love! Jesus, our Lord, thank you for you tremendous love! Thank you for taking our place. Thank you for including us in your death, so we could recieve your Life! WE LOVE YOU!!

Ilustrando - Illustrating

--------------------------------------
I always have fun making custom drawings! These 2 little ones got their drawing versions this month. If you would like one drawing too, get in touch!

Waldorf Etsy

----------------------------------------------
This Baby Waldorf is Manu. She finished her time on my brazilian store and is going to spend a couple of weeks in my Etsy store to give a chance of adoption to international families. If she doesn't find a family, she'll wait with me for a little while longer to go look for her forever family at a regional fair I want to take part in June. So Good Luck, baby Manu!

(same thing will happen to baby Elisa, still on my brazilian shop. So if you live overseas and have an eye on her, cross your fingers!)

Lilla 3!

Finalmente aqui!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Finally here!
Lilla's 3rd birthday party was in september 2012. And for me, it was the best party I've ever made! Lot's of reasons... First because, as our budget was tight(er than the previous years), this was a smaller party. And that was wonderful: I had more time to pay attention to our guests (specially the little ones) and it was so much easier to put everything together.
The place was borrowed from a dear friend, (it's her condo's party room). I worked with what was there: sofas, cofee table... The rack became my party table, for example.
I baked the cupcakes and cakepops (my first attempt on these, they turned out a little crooked but deliciously tasty). The big cake was baked by a dear friend, a "borrowed" aunt. The chocolate candies (kitty shapped!) were made as a gift by another dear friend of mine.

--------------------------------
I've sewn kitty soft toys and another dear friend (yes, I have lots of those! Really blessed!) made the amigurumi mice to go along. Beatiful photos from another dear friends, as always, were the high light of the party decor.

----------------------------------------------
Lots of little felt cat ears for all the guests to play along! These would never be ready on time if it wasn't for the help of another dear friend, who spent day after day here in my house with scisors on her hands.

-----------------------------------------------
I gave up on the rented toys this time. I just brought some of Lilla's toys instead. I also put together an art corner, with lots of papers, glitter, colored glued, crayons... And it was a big hit!! So nice to remender kids can play nicely, even when there are no fancy stuff around...

-----------------------------
The cat ears were the biggest hit ever! The little ones played and played, for Lilla's delight. I've also drawn little cat noses and whiskers on them. And they made the rest, playing cat on the floor. Lilla talked for MONTHS about the day all of her friends played cat with her (as the cat roll play was her favorite thing to do for months, it was a big thing for her...)

Tem criança feliz aí? Tem, sim senhor!
------------------------
Can you spot a happy kid?

FELIZ!
----------------------------------------
Lilla enjoyed every second. She rolled on the floor, she got messy with panits, she meowed to her heart's content, she twirled, she danced.... My little one is getting so big, blessed by God, with a big smile on her face, overflowing with love! She sang her Happy Birthday song, we claped our hands, she blew her candle with a strong breath. HAPPY!

----------------------------------------------
Ou beloved family. They almost didn't show in the pictures, because they were working on the party, to keep it moving. Fixing snacks, cooling the drinks, serving everyone. Multiplying the love in our lives.

Feliz 3 anos, minha gatinha!
-----------------------------
My beautifull Lilla, you are SO loved! May this love multiply in your heart, overflow, and reach others. May you grow up, healthy and strong, to be a beautiful woman, a happy and fullfilled sweet old lady. May everyone who takes a part in your life be touched by your happiness. May Jesus be always your harbour, your strengh, your safe spot, your nest, your home, your Everything. May you be Blessed with good friends with whom you can share your joy and your sadness. May the sadness  you encounter help you grow and build your humbleness. May the obstacles you face be defeated with sweat and honest hard work. May the laughter be a healing balm. May there always be enough hugs, enough love, love, love.... enough health, life and peace. You are so loved, baby, and love is like a baking powder to a happy life. Grow up, grow healthy, be the beautiful person God created you to be! Happy 3, my kitty cat!

Bonecas Waldorf - Waldorf dolls

Tirando a poeira, to viva, to viva! =)

---------------------------------------------

Yes I'm alive! ^^
Tired, yes, but alive. Lots of work almost completed around here: a new house almost ready, little girl enjoying a brand new montessori school. Lots to tell, I'll get there. But today let's talk about babies! These 3 little girls were "born" in the middle of a lot of work, but they were stiched with lots and lots of love!

These waldorf dolls are available in my brazilian shop. I intend to keep sewing mor of those, but working on my pattern to make their bodies look more like a real baby, as I've never seen those available here in Brazil, and they turned out to be Lilla's favorites type of doll.

Manu and Nicole, more a traditional waldorf style body, are already in the brazilian shop. Elisa will be uploaded soon, she is still behind on her clothes set.

(international friends, you can use google translate, but keep in mind that the prices are in Brazilian Reais)
