Inspirada na minha querida amiga talentosíssima Sarah Jane, dividi as ilustração ao longo do ano de 2013. Ao comprar, você escolhe o mês no qual quer receber a ilustração. Tem poucas vagas, porque o meu tempo é divido entre trabalho, maternar e muitos projetos, mas eu estou muito animada para desenhar lindezinhas 2013 inteirinho, especialmente pensadas e boladas para vocês.
As crianças são a minha grande inspiração, e cada um desses desenho é feito de alma entregue, com todo coração!

3-PHOTO Illustration*, is the kind I used to offer before. A little bit more realistic and true to the child's features.

All of them can be found in my shop, with more details and explanations of how it works. Inspired bt my talented and amazing friend Sarah Jane, I've divided them month by month through the year of 2013. When you visit the shop, you can choose which month works best for you. I have a maximum of 3 of each of theses illustrations per month, because my time to work is divided with being a mommy, taking care of the family and other projects I have waiting for the next year to come. But I'm really excited to do this, to illustrate your kids with all my love, to make their dreams be real on paper, to be a part of your home forever!

Essa semana eu não consegui cumprir meu prazo do tema do Illustration Friday, então deixo vocês com uma pequena prévia de uma das novidades nas quais eu estou trabalhando, preparando a lojinha para 2013 chegar! A opção de desenho personalizado vai ser segmentada em 3 estilos. Um deles é esse, um desenho com as características gerais, mas ainda bem com cara de meu desenho, como um personagem das minhas gravuras! E aí, o que você achou?

This week I wasn't able to acomplish my due date for the Illustration Friday project. So I though it would be a good idea to share with you a sneak peak of what I'm working at. Lots of new things will arrive at my shop in 2013, one of them will be the coming back of the Custom Drawings, now divided into 3 categories.
One of them being this, a drawing wthi the main features of the child, but still looking a lot like a drawing of mine. Kinda like being transformed into one of my regular art prints. So, what do you think?

O tema esta semana foi "árvore", e eu lembrei de um rascunho antigo que tinha aqui já escaneado no computador... Era um auto-retrato! Aproveitei pra fazer uma nova versão dele. A roupinha da menina é inspirada na minha ilustradora favorita, Gyo Fujikawa.

This weeks topic was "tree",  I remembered an old drawing I had already scanned in mu computer and decided to remake it. It's a self portrait!
The girls outfit is totally inspired on my favorite illustrator, Gyo Fujikawa.

Achei que seria um ótimo incentivo pra trabalhar a criatividade com mais frequência e desenhar alguma novidade cá pro blog toda semana. Então podem esperar, que toda sexta feira tem desenho novo por aqui! O tema dessa semana foi "tímido".

Zapping through the internet, I've found this site called Illustration Friday. I though it would be an excellent way to push me into making at least one new drawing every week for blogging. So there you go, stay tuned because every friday you'll find some new cuteness here. This week's theme was: "shy".

Desenho de coração / Heart drawings

Os desenhos personalizados que ofereço na lojinha são trabalho duro. Geralmente são muitas tentativas e muitos pequenos ajustes até conseguir o jeitinho certo de cada criança, o olhar, a curvinha dos lábios.
O desenho vai de mim para os pais, que me devolvem com as suas recomendações, e ficamos nesse diálogo bate-bola por dias... Eu peço deles que continuem me ajudando, me orientando, sempre, pois ninguém conhece melhor cada cantinho do filho do que mãe e pai.

Por dias seguidos eu abro o meu computador para trabalhar e revejo estes rostinhos, estudo cada orelhinha, ajeito curvatura de cílios, até que um reflexo desses pequenos esteja realmente presente no desenho. Até que suas boquinhas gargalhem audivelmente, até que seus olhinhos brilhem de verdade!

E o tanto de trabalho envolvido é diretamente proporcional a boa sensação que chega no fim. Ouvir das mães que consegui retratar a alma dos seus filhotes, saber que este desenho, que desenhei com todo meu coração, vai morar numa parede e ser admirado com todo amor por muitos e muitos anos... Se é meu coração quem desenha, é meu coração quem sorri!

The custom portraits I offer in my shop are hard work. Usually lots of trials and errors involved until I can get each kiddo just right, each little lip corner, each and every eye sparkle.
I send my rough drawings to parents and they give them back to me with their recomendations. I ask them to do so, because no one knows a kid better than his/her mom and dad.


For days I will open my computer to work and see those little faces, I study every little ear, every little milk tooth, I go by every eyebrow hair until their reflexion can really be seen in the drawing. Until the little mouths can be heard laughing and the eyes sparkle with their happiness!


The amount of labor involved is just as big as my joy when the drawing is ready and the parents get back to me, touched, saying that they can see their kid's soul reflecting in the drawing... it melts my heart! To know my drawing will be forever cherished... I draw with all my love, with all my heart. And it is my heart the one who sings with the joy of a work well done!

 Eu sei, eu sei, eu andei quietinha por aqui. Eu não sou uma pessoa muito organizada, sabe. É, infelizmente. Uma meleca. Quando eu tenho uma coisa grande pra fazer, fico sem conseguir dar atenção às coisas menores. Acho que é culpa do mesmo gene que me torna uma das pessoas mais esquecidas do universo também... e divagadoras... onde eu estava mesmo?? Oh, sim: Lembra que eu disse que estava praparando muitas novidades? Hein? Hein?

I know, I know, It's been quiet around here these last days. Unfortunatelly, I'm not quite an organized person, you know. And when a bigger task hits me, the smaller ones suffer. I blame it on the same gene that turns me into the most desmemorized (is that a word??) person in the world. I forget stuff alot. It's a bummer. I also tend to ramble... What was I saying? Tinta de verão - Summer paint

Eu vi a idéia neste blog, que conheci pelo pinterest, e ao primeiro sinal de sol quis experimentar. Não tinha erro, já que a Lilla adora gelo, e adora tinta! É só pingar gotinhas de anilina nos buraquinhos da cumbuca de gelo, adcionar água e por no freezer. Pronto, tinta de verão!
Eu fiz e deixei no congelador esperando a manhã de sol mais próxima. E assim que o Sol resolveu aparecer, pus a fôrma gelada e colorida numa bolsa térmica e parti com ela pra pracinha, levando também uma folha bem grande de papel pardo.

I first saw the idea on this blog, which I've found through pinterest. Lilla loves ice, and loves paint. It was the perfect activity! So I've putted a few drops of food coloring into ice trays, clompleted them with water and sat on the freeze, waiting for the first sunny morning ahead. 
As soon as it arrived, I've packed it all along with a big paper sheet and went with Lilla to the park for the big surprise!

All of her friends wanted to play too! We've made a delicious mess!

Da próxima vez, porém, eu faço um pouco diferente. A anilina foi meio chata pra sair da pele, só foi desaparecer meeesmo uns 2 dias depois. To pensando em tentar agora usar guache mesmo, misturado com água. Pelo menos é mais lavável, e de bônus eu tenho mais cores aqui.
Vamos esperar o sol voltar porque a chuva tá teimando em ficar e entupir o meu alérgico nariz.

Next time I'll  try to do it a little diferent. Instead of food coloring (which was a big pain to wash off the skin) I'll try gouache paint mixed with water. At least it will be more washable, and I have a bigger assortment of colors. Lets just wait for the sun to come back, for this stubborn rain insists on hanging in here, getting my alergic nose all stuffy.

The days are still caothic around here. Lots and lots of work.

And the other is the Christmas collection, which is off to the printing house. The baby Jesus card is back, along with some other little fun surprises.

Ah, e também: Lilla desfraldou! Como eu poderia esquecer essa novidade? Minha mocinha está profissional em usar o penico. Fofa toda vida.
