Colorindo / Coloring

Eu tava aqui, meio murcha, pensando no tanto de projetos deliciosos que me aguardam para embelezar a casa nova, doidinha pra começar, doidinha pra me mudar. Finalmente eu me dei conta de que alguns projetinhos podiam sim sair do papel e começar a colorir pequenos pedaços dessa casa aqui, enquanto a outra não chega.

Imprimi então várias gotinhas coloridas (como eu já vi em vários lugares pela internet afora) e fui lá feliz da vida customizar minha sapateira!

I was here, a little bummed, thinking about all the great projects that await me in the new house. There are lots of pretty stuff that I intend to make for my new space. I'm so excited about it, yet I still have a lot of time to wait, as the makeover involves some big stuff. Finally I discovered that there are projects I can do, after all. Small projects that revolve around my existing furniture! So they'll be ready for their new home.

I've printed several colored dots (as I've seen on the web here and there) and went happily to my shoe storage thingy that stays on the foot of my bed.

Ta certo que ela assim, como tá não combina com meu atual quarto lilás/provençal/meu-marido-é-um-lindo-amado-por-aceitar-essa-cor. Mas vai combinar com o próximo quarto cool/divertido que eu projetei pra agradar tanto ao marido lindo quanto à mim!

It doesn't actually match my bedroom as it is. My lavander/provence/my-husband-is-such-a-sweet-guy-to-go-along-with-it bedroom. But oh, it will match my future funky one! The one that was designed to please both my favorite guy and me!

Quer um pra você? É só mandar imprimir as gotinhas em vinil (pra quem é do Rio, eu mandei imprimir na Multijob. É super baratinho!) e cortar. Depois você pode colar onde quiser, e o bom é que o vinil descola na boa quando você enjoar!

Os pedacinhos de aniversário que viram enfeites de decoração me arrancam sorrisos, espalhados pelos cantinhos da casa! Lilla vive pedindo esse coelhinho pra beijar. Ela beija, abraça, e devolve pro "bosque".

E eu to numa relação de amor e repulsa com o Pinterest. Ao mesmo tempo que eu derramo meus minutos de tempo livre lá, fico pensando que eu devia levantar meu bumbum da cadeira e sair da internet pra atacar uma das pilhas de trabalho que me aguarda. Só que continuo grudada na cadeira como se estivesse enfeitiçada. Enfeitiçada pelo tanto de idéias! E olha a ultima idéia que saiu de lá pra uma das prateleiras da minha casa:

I've been in a love-hate relationship with Pinterest. I sit in my chair and pour my rare free minutes onto it, rejoicing all the beauty, while scolding me for "wasting" my time on the internet. Lol! Piles of work await me, but -oh, the dyi ideas!! oh, the home decor boards!!- well, I fail to abandon it. Shame on me!

E eu me desafiei há alguns meses: tentar fazer sempre à mão os presentes para os aniversários aos quais fomos convidados. Fiz pro Gael, pra Míriam, pra Nandinha, pra Sofia... E por ultimo, pro Gabriel. Infelizmente eu fui uma má blogueira e só lembrei de fotografar o último, do Gabriel! ^^
Mas teremos muitos adiante, já mais 3 aniversários marcados para novembro!

Pro Gabriel, fiz uma blusinha. Eu peno pra pensar em presente pra menino, viu?? Acho muito mais dificil!

I dared my self to craft every birthday gift from now on. We have lots of beloved friends, they deserve something specially made for them, dn't they? The last birthday kids who got home made gifts were Gael, Miriam, Nandinha and Sofia. Oh, and Gabriel. Gabriel's birthday was last sunday, and was the only one I remembered to photograph. Bad blogger. Sorry, folks. Don't worry though, we already got 3 new birthday nvitations for november! So the gifts factory will be up and running the next weeks.


For Gabriel, I've made a shirt. I find it so hard to pick gifts for boys! Any age, but I believe it gets harder as they grow up....

Também fiz um vestido da Aurora para a minha princesa de plantão. Não o de baile, mas o de camponesa, que eu acho bem mais fofo! Claro, Lilla adorou! Mas eu confesso que nem precisava tanto esforço. Tudo que é rodado, ela diz que é de princesa. Outro dia vesti uma saia velha, dessa de malha, evasê. Lilla me viu e exclamou: Que linda, mamãe!! Ta vestida de Branca de Neve?

Also made a new Aurora dress for my princess on duty. Not the party gown, but the peasent one because I find it prettier. Lilla loved it! But I admit there is no need for any efort: The kid will call any twirling dress a princess dress. One day I was dressing myself and I had some old skirt on. A yellow knit circle skirt. Lilla came running to me screaming: Mommy, mommy, you look soooooooooooooo beautiful! Are you Snow White?
(pause for: hug, squish, squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze the irresistible rainbow-cute-lovelly-perfect kiddo!!!)

 Como vocês estão? Eu estou com sono... Culpa de uma pequena q tem me dado um banho e desorganizado sua rotina de sono.... Ai ai!

Pensei em dividir com vocês o quarto dessa minha pequena High Need, um pouco mais pronto do que da última vez que mostrei, quando ela ainda estava na barriga..

Já que agora não tem mais porta-retratos vazios. Acho que a minha vontade de mexer nos detalhes e mudar uma coisinha ou outra, porém, nunca termina!

Weeks and weeks were spent painting this mural, with Lilla inside my huge 8 months pregnant belly.
It was hard work, but totally worth it!
(I want so bad to turn those glass pots over there into terrariums...)

This embroidery with Lilla's name was one of my favourite projects durying my pregnancy. I was so happy with the result that it still makes me smile!

O baú foi um remake: Era marrom escuro e veio recheado com uma cesta de natal que meu sogro ganhou no trabalho dele. Eu me apaixonei pelo baú e meu sogro fez a maravilhosa repaginação: pintou de branquinho e ainda deu um acabamento provençal!! Não ficou fofo?

This trunk was dark brown. My father-in-law got it as a xmas gift from his company. It was filled with xmas goodies. I fell in love with the trunk and he transformed it for me! Painted white and gave it a vintage finishing. Isn't it cute?

Ainda correndo / Still running

Mão no bordado! Fiz este quadrinho para a porta da maternidade. Desenhei mtos passarinhos e pedi pro Rodrigo escolher o preferido dele.

Hands to embroider! I made this to put on the door of the maternity room (don't know how it goes where you live, but here in Brazil it's usuall to hang something cute with the baby's name on the hospital room we are staying during/after the labor)
I drew some diferent birds and asked Rodrigo to choose one.
Esbocei e dei uma escolhida nas cores... alguns dias de trabalho com agulhas e linhas, sentada com as pernas pra cima no sofá (tem outro jeito? meus pés estão mais inchando! Tem dias, quando fico mais tempo em pé, que eles parecem um par de pastéis de forno! Ainda bem que tem um marido fofo pra me curar com massagem...) e esse foi o resultado final:

Than made a quick drawing of how should it look like and what basic colors it would have... a couple of days working on it, siting with my legs high on the sofa (is there any other way? My feet have swollen like crazy! Thank God there is a certain sweet husband to make me feel better with a night time massage...) and this was the final result:

Fiquei boba ao ver os preços cobrados nas lojas... Tudo tão caro!
Tudo bem, tudo bem... Mais uma tarefa gostosa envolvendo passarinho pra resolver! ^^
Peguei umas bolsas que tínhamos aqui e não usamos, dessas simples que se ganha de agência de viagem quando compramos um pacote, sabe? Tentei um projeto que tampasse o logo da empresa que deu as bolsas e pronto! 3 Bolsas novinhas, dá pra levar as coisas da mamãe, do papai e, claro, da Lilla!

Yey! I was happy with it!
Ok, can cross it off my list of things-to-do-before-the-baby-is-born.
Next call: maternity bags.
Here in Brazil they sell bags that are specificlly made to beautifully take our stuff to the hospital when the labor comes. Can you imagine how much they cost?? I couldn't. Got scared.
So, what to do? I remembered we had some bags we did not use, simple ones, the kind we get as a gift when we purchase a vacation package... We had 3 we got when we went to NY.
So, I've puted together something that would cover up the company logo in them, and ended up with 3 birdie bags, enough to take to the hospital Lilla's, Rodrigo's and my stuff, along with the video and photo cameras!



E, bem, já que estamos com a corda toda... A maternidade pede pra levar as roupinhas do bebê (6 mudas completas ao todo) em saquinhos individuais. Então resolvi costurar saquinhos de pano também!

Cantinhos do quarto / Corners in the bedroom

Os cantinhos da casa são os pedacinhos que eu mais gosto...
Ainda temos muitos cantinhos vazios, mas cada novo objeto que eu separo para morar num cantinho destes é especial... Cada um é pensado.
às vezes eu compro, às vezes eu faço. Tem tantas boas idéias espalhadas por aí para se inspirar!
Um lugar cheio de cantinhos encantadores é o DaisyCottage da Kim. Ah, e também o Allsorts da Jenny B Harris. Cara, o estúdio dela é demais!! Um sonho, realmente. Um dia eu chego lá!

The little corners on the house are my favorite places...
We still have a whole bunch of empty spaces, but every new object that comes to my hand hoping to live in one of these corners is special... And I think about it carefully, with love.
Some times I buy them, some times I craft. There are so many good ideas around to get inspired!
One charming place with enchanting little corners is DaisyCottage from Kim. Oh, and also Allsorts blog, from Jenny B Harris. Oh boy, her studio is a dream come true! Awesome! One day I wish to acomplish something like that!!

The idea for the tree picture didn't come from me. It was inspired on a pivture of tree with cloth leaves I saw on Lulu Carter's blog.

Estes arranjos eu fiz e certamente não gastei mais do que uns R$7,oo. Tudo coisinhas compradas no Saara. Os porta retratos tb foram pechinchas! =D
