Antes tarde do que nunca! / Better late than never!

Finalmente!! Aqui estão as costuras do kcwc. Não consegui costurar no domingo, então foram 6 dias costurando de 1h a 2h, que resultaram nestas 4 roupinhas:

Finally!! Here are my kcwc acomplishments. I didn't get to sew on sunday, so it was only 6 days for me, sewing at least 1h or 2h a day. I got to finish these 4 outfits:

Neste estou pensando em acrescentar bolsos... Acho que ele ficou muito "vazio"... Opiniões?

Apesar da modelo não estar muito a fim de colaborar nas fotos, este foi o vestido favorito dela. Feito a partir de uma camiseta que não cabia mais no papai!

Even though the model has her best not-now-mommy! face, this was her favorite one. It's a repurposed daddy's shirt!

Sei que eu mostrei este antes, mas acabei mexendo nele de novo, porque não estava satisfeita com a cintura e nem com o franzido. Então recoloquei a saia e fiz outra faixa. Agora sim, bem melhor! (Eu não enjôo desta estampa linda! Ah, tecidos japoneses!! *suspiro*)

I know I've featured this one before, but I've made some changes in it. The waist was a little crooked, so I fixed it. And I made the sash a little widder. Now it looks much better! (and I just can't get enough of this fabric! Oh, I love you, japanese prints!)

 E este foi certamente o mais trabalhoso! O jeans saiu de uma velha (pé-maternidade-nunca-caberão em mim novamente) calça minha, e os apliques de cogumelo tamparam uma manchinha teimosa. A parte de baixo adaptei deste tutorial.
Ficou a coisa mais fofa nela!! O único problema é que errei a posição dos bolsos, ficaram muito baixinhos... Lilla usou assim mesmo no sábado, e se sujou toda de terra. Então o macacão teve que ir passear lá na máquina de lavar antes que eu tente resolver o erro...

And this was sure the one that took me more time. The jeans for the bodice came from one of my old pair of (pre-motherhood-never-will-fit-me-again) pants. And the mushroom apliques covered a stuborn stain that just wouldn't go away. The bottom part was adapted from this tutorial.
It looks so freaking cute on her!! The only problem is that the back pockets are too down. Lilla wore it as it is on saturday. And then it got all dirty with mud. So the romper had to go  to the laundry room befor it gets a chance to be fixed.

(Ela cata todos os "sapatos novos" no ármario. Os que eu guardei porque estão grandes nela pra usar. Acho que vou esconder até que caibam realmente! Será que sou uma mamãe muito malvada?)

(she goes through the closet searching for "new shoes" -aka the ones I'm saving because they don't fit her yet. I'm thinking about hiding them away until they do fit! Am I a mean mommy?)

Costurar pra Lilla está mais prazeroso do que nunca: ela toma conta do processo, quer ver como está ficando, fica perguntando se já está pronto e sempre quer vestir a novidade assim que eu termino! E depois fico eu, toda boba, lambendo a cria toda embrulhadinha em amor mamãe-que-fez! ^^
Certamente, não tem como ser melhor que isso!

Sewing for Lilla is now better than ever. She enjoys the whole process, she asks "is it ready yet?" in every 5 minutes. And in the end, she always wants to put it on! And I get to be all emotional, seeing my baby girl all wrapped up in mommy-made love! ^^
Really, life can't get better than that!

Dia das crianças / Children's day

Sei que a semana foi mais lenta aqui no blog, o inverso das minhas horas trabalhadas... Foram dias cheios por aqui! Bastante trabalho pra entregar e um vício pra sustentar. É, um vício: você sabe que a coisa é séria quando a criança já tem mais vestidos do que cabides no armário. Hahaha!

A máquina de costura não me larga, tudo culpa da kcwc, e a minha obsessão tá tão sinistra que eu nem consegui tirar fotos das roupinhas ainda. Paciência comigo, to quase lá!

Esse foi o primeiro a ficar pronto, a tempo do dia das crianças. Eu espero conseguir fotografar o resto ainda hoje!

I know we had a slow week here at the blog, but that'sbecause my work schedule was the absolut contrary... Crazy days around here, with lots of work an an addiction to support. Yes, an addiction: you know you have a problem when the kid simply has more dresses than hangers on the closet. lol!


The sewing machine is getting the best of me, blame it on the kcwc. I've been so obsessed about it that I can't even find the time to photograph the new cute outfits. Have a spare time? GOTTA go sewing!


This dress was the first to be ready. Soon enough for Children's Day (a holiday we celebrate on october 12th).  I hope I can get to photograph the other ones later today! =)

Esse foi nosso dia das crianças super legal: um picnic com amigos na lagoa! Nada de chique, tudo de bom! Rodrigo, como sempre, trabalha todos os feriados, mas eu fui com a Lilla mesmo assim. As crianças se divertiram correndo atrás de bolhas e pulando no pula-pula, catando pedras... as mamães paperam (e os papais que estavam lá fizeram um ótimo serviço de babá!) e claro, todos comeram guloseimas gostosas!

And this was our super-duper children's day: We met some friend for a picnic at Lagoa!! Nothing fancy, everything good! Rodrigo, as always on holidays, had to work. But I went with Lilla to celebrate her day. The kids had a blast chasing bubbles, jumping on the trampoline and collecting rocks... mothers chatted (and fathers did their best at babysitting!) and of course, we all ate yummy snacks!

 

Eu nem comprei presente pra Lilla, porque os vovôs e vovós se encarregaram já de dar tudo que ela queria ganhar! =)

I didn't even buy Lilla any presents, because her grandparents gave her with everything she could want! =)
