Ah! Que saudades!!

Me desculpem pela ausência!
O mês de dezembro foi uma loucura! Muitos presente para terminar, casa pra arrumar, marido de folga pra entreter... Ufa! É cansativo mas é gostoso!
O Natal foi lindo e muito especial. Tão especial que eu esquecia de tirar fotos por conta do nervosismo... Sério! Uma ansiedade beeem grande abalou os meus pensamentos! (quem em sã consciência se esquece de fotografar o Natal??).... Tudo isso porque estavamos guardando um segredo!
Um segredo enorme, brilhante e alegre que embrulhamos para presente para abrir só no Natal.

Será que vocês conseguem adivinhar??

Este segredo era tão especial que me deu azia.
E um enjôo chatinho e sem fim.
E também, vejam só, muita vontade de fazer pipi. O tempo todo!

Oh! How I missed you!
December was a crazy month! Lots of gifts to craft, house to decorate, husband with a few days off from work to entertain... Oh my! I got really tired, but it was so much fun even so!
Christmas was very beautifull and special.
So special that I forgot to take pictures due to my anxiety... Yeah, unfortunately I'm not kidding!
But, you know, I had a reason for feeling that anxious: I was keeping a secret!!
A really big big secret, all joyfull and shining, that we wraped up in christmas wrapping paper.
And this secret was about to come aout in this special day with no pictures...

Can you imagine what it is?

The secret gave me some heartburn.
And a little annoying stomach ache.
Also, who would know, a crazy need to pee. All the time.

É nisso que eu venho trabalhando nos últimos dias!

Vou fazer umas capas de caderno tb.
Engraçado que eu sempre quis trabalhar com papelaria, mas não sabia bem por onde começar.
De repente apareceu essa oportunidade, assim, do nada. Com uma chefe legal super docinha, prazos tranquilos e tema delicioso! Dá pra querer mais?
Ano que vem alguns destes devem estar à venda nas Lojas Americanas. :)

Those are what I've been working at these last days!
Wraping paper. I'll do some illustrations for notebooks covers too.
Funny, I always wanted to work with stationary, but didn't know from where to start.
Than, suddenly, this opportunity fell from the sky, just like that. Kind and sweet boss, manageable due dates, totally cute themes! The whole combo. Could I ever ask for more?
Next year you may found some of these selling at Lojas Americanas. Or, who knows, in other corners of the world too... :)

Ontem montamos a árvore. Meu sonho é ter uma daquelas grandoooonas mas, além de serem beeem caras, eu não acho que uma assim caberia na pequena sala do meu apartamento... Ah, eu to feliz com a nossa, mesmo assim! ;)
Desculpe pelas fotos péssimas, mas estamos com aluz ruim, né... Desde a semana passada não pára de chover! Hunf!

Yesterday we've putted our tree together. As you must know, here in hot and sunny brazil we have no real evergreens, no true xmas trees.
Mine is a small one because all the big ones are too expensive, besides, I'm not sure if they would fit in my apartment with its small living room...
But I'm happy with our tree anyways! ;)
Sorry for the terrible pictures, there was no proper light... It's been raining non stop since last week...

I made something I wanted to make for a long time: a baby Jesus doll to put in a manger!



Na verdade, eu sempre quis um presépio inteiro na minha casa pro Natal, mas eu não acho que conseguiria fazer bons bonecos pra representar os adultos... Então, decidi fazer só o boneco para o bebezinho Jesus. Afinal, ele é a parte importante! =) (Eu ainda quero fazer umas ovelhinhas para “velarem” o soninho dele, mas não tenho certeza de que consigo faze-las para este Natal...)

Actually, I always wanted to have a whole nativity scene in my home for christmas, but I don’t think I could manage to make good dolls for the grown-up people… So, I decided I would sew only a baby Jesus doll. He is the important part after all! =) (I still want to make some sheep to “watch over” his sleep. I’m just not sure I can sew them for this xmas…)




Quando eu estava costurando me bateu uma dúvida: “Vai ficar parecendo uma menina??”
Pensei e pensei, acabei decidindo faze-lo anatomicamente correto. Respeitosamente, viu? Afinal, é um meninão! ^^ Então, é, ele tem um luluzinho! Hihihi! ^^ E ficou um menininho mto fofo! Eu não acho legal sair por aí mostrando um menininho “à vontade”, mas como sei que a maioria das leitoras daqui são mocinhas de respeito ou doces mamães, vou deixar vocês darem uma espiada:

While sewing, I was in doubt: “Will it look like a girl???” I thought about it, and thought again… Turned out I decided to make it really a boy, I mean, anatomically a boy. Respectfully, ok? ^^ Turned out to be a cute baby boy, indeed! ^^ I don’t think it’s okay to go on showing the baby boy’s “boyness” around, but as I know my readers are mostly respectfull mommys or nice young ladies, I’ll let you take a peek:

See this little red pebble? It was an important part of the project.



Eu não queria que este fosse um boneco qualquer… Queria que ele fizesse parte da minha decoração de natal com significado. Então eu fiz assim: Dentro das mãozinhas e dos pezinhos do boneco, eu pus uma pedrinha vermelha, significando os machucados que Jesus sofreu na cruz por nós. E pus no chão da manjedoura mais pedrinhas vermelhas, significando o seu precioso sangue derramado para nos salvar! Mas pus estas pedrinhas misturadas com sementes, estas para lembrar a nova vida que Ele nos deu!! =D

I didn’t want it to be just a common doll, but I wanted it to have meaning in my xmas decoration. So this is what I’ve done: Inside its hands and feet, I placed those little red pebbles, as a symbol of what Jesus Christ went trhough in the cross for us. And I placed some red pebbles on the manger’s floor too, meaning the blood He shed for us. But there I mixed them with seeds, these for remembering He gave us a new life!! =D

Cabeceira! / Headboard!

Nem acredito que finalmente ficou pronta e presa no seu devido lugar! Foi meu primeiro projeto grande e eu fiquei feliz com o resultado! Ela é dupla face, pode ser usada dos dois lados: o lilás e o florido.

I can't believe it's finally ready and in it's place! It was my first big project and I'm happy with the result! Yey! It's doubleface, I can use it or with the Lilac sid, or with the flowery side.





Fiz também uma capinha para a cama da Alegria no meu cantinho de trabalho.

Estou de volta! / I'm back!

Espero que vocês não tenham desistido de mim!! =)
Obrigada a todas que deram palavras de apoio, é mto gostoso receber o carinho de pessoas que não conheço, mas considero amigas! =) Realmente, obrigada de coração!
Foi um mês difícil... Apesar da imensa saudade, eu não estou triste, nem nunca estive. Tenho a certeza ABSOLUTA de que a vovó está bem, ao lado de Jesus, que ela está experimentando a real Verdade e Beleza da presença do Senhor! E deve ser lindo demais...

Foi bom ter este tempo pra pensar... Tive muitas coisas burocráticas pra resolver pela partida da vovó e tive tb muito trabalho pra entregar. Só nesta última semana a poeira baixou, e eu pude sair, voltar a costurar, descansar e me preparar para voltar pra cá!

No último sábado eu aproveitei pra costurar bastante! Tava cheia de vontade de costurar, foi quase 1 mês de abstinência! E daí nasceu a Amelie:

It was a hard month this last one… Though I miss granny so so so much, I’m not sad at all, and I never was. I’m ABSOLUTELY sure that she is fine, side by side with Jesus… She is experiencing the Real and Beautifull presence of the Lord! And how gorgeous must that be…

I enjoyed having this time to think… I’ve also had lots and lots of papers-documents-and-all-sort-of-bureaucracy-things to work through. Plus the work (this month was a busy one!).
This last week things finally settled down, and I got the so desired time to sew, rest and prepare nice stuff to show you in my blog-come-back!

This last Saturday Amelie was born:






E ontem eu costurei vestidinhos para as minhas bonecas. Agora elas combinam com o quarto! (depois eu tiro foto do quarto, porque eu tb costurei uma cabeceira para a cama, mas ela ainda não está presa no lugar):

ANd yesterday I've made dresses for the dolls. Now they go along with the bedroom colors! (later I'll take a picture of the whole room, because I've also made a pretty headboard for the bed, but it's not in place yet):






No domingo nós sempre vamos para a casa dos meus sogros. Estava um solzinho tão gostoso! Aí eu aproveitei para dar banho na ALegria lá mesmo, de mangueira. Ela não gostou muito não! ahhaah! Ela não gosta de banho...

Sunday we always go to my inlaws' house. It was such a pretty day with a nice warm sunshine spreading trhough the backyard... I decided to give Alegria a bath there. She was the only one who didn't like this idea that much...
